Palm Beach County Golf Facilities Receive National Recognitions

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Jan. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- Osprey Point Golf Course (http://www.pbcgov.com/parks/sports/golf/ospreypoint/) and John Prince Golf Learning Center (http://www.pbcgov.com/parks/sports/golf/johnprince/) have been named among the top golf ranges in the United States by The Golf Range Association of America (GRAA).

Osprey Point Golf Course received the honor for the first time in the five-year history of the facility as it was recognized as one of the Top 50 Public Ranges by GRAA. Osprey Point features a double-ended 300-yard driving range with grass hitting stations on both ends. Additionally, the range features more than 28,000 square feet of greens as there are two practice putting greens as well as two chipping greens. Range balls can be obtained from a machine located on-site, either with use of the Palm Beach County Driving Range Debit Card or through the purchase of a pin code through the golf shop.

The GRAA honor closes out the 2015 calendar year that saw Osprey Point earn a TripAdvisor “Certificate of Excellence” while being named one of the top 50 golf courses in Florida by Golf Digest and one of Golf Advisor’s “Top 50 under $50,” a ranking that lists the nation’s top 50 golf courses that charge $50 or less.

Osprey Point was also voted the best public golf course in South Florida by Golf Advisor users in the last year and re-certified as an Audubon International Classic Sanctuary during 2015.

John Prince Golf Learning Center was recognized as one of the Top 50 Stand-alone ranges, marking the fourth straight year the GRAA has honored the facility with the award after naming it the “Best New Range in the United States” in 2007. John Prince Golf Learning Center features 56 grass and 48 mat hitting stations on its lighted 280-yard driving range. The range features multiple target greens while the facility also includes a 16,000 square-feet putting green as well as a chipping green with green-side bunkers. Additionally, the facility, which also features a fully stocked golf shop, has three regulation holes – a par four and two par threes – to allow golfers to further hone their skills.

In order to receive recognition by the GRAA, golf facilities must present an application that highlights not only a wide range of amenities, but one that also shows a wide variety of available programming that benefits all levels of skill and promotes the growth of the game of golf. The GRAA recognizes the top 50 facilities in three categories – Stand-alone, Public and Private – with the winners being listed in the December issue of Golf Range Magazine.
