14-Year-Old Singer/Songwriter, Shannon K Reflects on the Image of Teens & Their Challenges

NEW YORK - Jan. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, NY - Teen pop sensation, Shannon K recently released her video for her single "Mirror Girl". Shannon tackles the challenges teens face by feeling the pressure to say one thing while having their actions demonstrate another. This pop rock inspired track and visuals which was shot in London, showcase the immense talent of young Shannon and demonstrates her imaginative writing skills. Shannon says, “I wrote the song about people who say they are going to do one thing, but end up doing another. This song is based on the inspiration from my friends and my surroundings."

Shannon credits her musical influence to artists such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and her current influence comes from Justin Bieber. Through her lyrics, Shannon has exhibited a level of maturity and experience well beyond her years.  Shannon K, the daughter of Bollywood singer and legend, Kumar Sanu is motivated to set a lane for herself in the music industry through her talents and hard work.

Some of her accomplishments include being featured as the artist of the week on BBC UK London. She has also worked with some of the entertainment industry's heavyweights such as well known music producers Steven A. Williams (Britney Spears), Andy Whitmore, and film director William Steel. Shannon recently shot her video for her upcoming single entitled "Sapphire"  in Los Angeles, CA to be released later this year.
