The Chocolate 5k Comes to Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Jan. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- NR Road Racing will hold The Chocolate 5k in Charleston on Saturday April 9th at 9:00 AM. The event will be held at Laurel Hill County Park (1251 Park West Blvd. Mount Pleasant, SC 29466) and will support Teachers’ Supply Closet. Race registration is $30 for individuals. With a $5 price increase March 9th. There will be a $40 walk up registration fee. All ages are welcome, however, anyone 12 and older must be registered. NR Road Racing presents a chocolatey good time. We are offering you sweet treats to keep you going throughout the 5k. Yes there will still be water stations, but for those of you with a sweet tooth, you can also have a little piece of joy. Enjoy a family-friendly three mile course with your friends, family, and other choc-oholic strangers. It doesn’t matter how fast or old you are; everyone is welcome to participate and join in the fun! After the race, we’ll be still partying and filling up with chocolate. You are invited to hang out and party to the music and have some more chocolate on us! Family and friends are always encouraged to join in the party at the end!

Teachers’ Supply Closet (TSC) is a nonprofit organization that provides free school supplies to teachers in the tri-county area who work at schools where 83% of the students are on the free or reduced meals program. Their mission is to serve children in the tri-county area in meeting their educational and creative needs by providing free supplies donated by businesses and individuals. To supply the store, donations of school supplies, new and gently used office and art supplies, excess inventory, slightly damaged merchandise, and tradeshow products, are accepted, and everything is made available free to teachers for use by students in the classroom.
