PRLog -- NAAFA, the civil rights organization working for Equality at Every Size, has announced that DJ Kelly J will provide the music for the Semi-Formal Dinner and Fashion Show at our 50
th Anniversary Conference. This historic event will be held June 14-16, 2019 at Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, NV. Our conference theme is "Honoring Our Past; Creating Our Future".
Born in Detroit, Kelly J's love for music and the arts started at a young age, but it wasn't until she moved to Las Vegas, NV that her love became a desire to pursue music as a career. "I always wanted to be a part of the movement that creates a positive atmosphere for people," stated DJ Kelly J. At the age of 19, she obtained a position for XRadio.Biz, an online radio station, one of the first of its kind at the time, as an on-air personality and staff producer. She has worked in many nightclubs, festivals and venues, along with guest DJ slots for various radio stations across the country.
Las Vegas locals may have experienced DJ Kelly J on 88.1fm KCEP in Las Vegas where she's currently heard on the airwaves or at CraveLV size positive events. Big thanks to Aby Deal for referring us to a DJ who is familiar with size diversity and inclusion.
