CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Sept. 23, 2019 - PRLog -- Applied Video Imaging, a provider of rugged video products for airborne, ground, and marine surveillance mission systems, introduced its new and improved 3-G SDI Quad Video Processor. Helping to optimize your sensor suite, this new product includes four 3-G/HD/SD SDI video inputs scaled to a single 3-G/HD/SD SDI output. Configuration options allow the user to set the output video layout through ethernet control. With many different layouts available, this new product can improve any mission system.

At just 7.17" x 4.6" x 1.69" [182 x 117 x 42.8 mm] and under 1.55 pounds [0.79 kg], AVI's quad processor allows the user to display all video sources while saving space. The unit is designed for use in airborne, ground, marine, and defense surveillance systems. AVI's quad processor is built to last in harsh environments without compromising functionality and reliability.

The Q000304-00 provides sixteen customizable output layouts with optional text overlay. Pairing this product with AVI's R050100 Quad Processor Controller makes the processor even easier to control, allowing for quick switching of output layouts. This processor provides an exceptional increase in situational awareness while reducing wiring weight and complexity. Working as a stand-alone unit or integrated with other mission system equipment, AVI's new Quad Processor adds multi-view capability for displays in any mission system design.

"AVI's new Quad Processor provides increased performance, more outputs, increased environmental and EMI performance at a lower cost than our original unit," said Bruce Carriker, President and founder of AVI. "We remain committed to providing the best value to our customers with products like the Q000304-00 which optimize their mission systems and increase operational effectiveness."

AVI's rugged Q000304-00 operates at 9 – 36 volts DC power. Tested to DO-160 standards, the Q000304-00 has an operating temperature of -40⁰C to +70⁰C, performance up to altitudes of 50,000 ft, rotor craft U2 vibrations, Level M radiated frequency emissions, among many other conditions. The unit will work with any SDI source and any SDI/DVI/HDMI display.
