NOLA rapper 'King of Bounce' announces plans to drop new project in February

NEW ORLEANS - Nov. 5, 2020 - PRLog -- NOLA rapper and sound pioneer King of Bounce announced today that he is gearing up for his next album drop.

New Orleans native Frank Dunn, known by his rapper name King of Bounce, created the distinctive "New Orleans Bounce" style of rap. His high-energy style blends the famous triggerman 1-drum bar loop beat with musical samples and a dose of NOLA flavor.

Beloved by his home city, Dunn's local, stylized flare has been in demand worldwide through tours across the American south and southwest and even all the way to London, England.

Now, he's growing his following on YouTube to reach new listeners around the globe.

Dunn's big break as a rapper came in the 1990s with performances on the mainstream urban radio outlet WQUE-FM as part of a local rap competition called the 9'oclock props with DJ Wild Wayne, where he broke out as NOLA's hottest rising rap star.

Following his early success, one of his songs appeared on Master P's Platinum compilation album "Down South Hustlers," released in 1995. The drop was the record label's premier release.

"I am so grateful for Master P taking an interest in my work and giving me a chance early on to spread my music to an ever wider audience," Dunn said.

In 2000, Dunn released his first solo CD, "Me N Ma Dawgs," which sold more than 30,000 copies. The high number of record sales put him on the rap map and showed the world just how far his career had come in a relatively short amount of time.

His upcoming CD, "The Bounce is Mine," is now in post-production as Dunn prepares to drop the album in February of 2021. The album will bring new songs featuring the King of Bounce's unique style known for energizing parties everywhere.

"This music is perfect for getting into the groove with whatever you're doing," Dunn said.
