NEW YORK - Nov. 19, 2020 - PRLog -- The Information Security Forum (ISF) held its 31st Annual World Congress, November 15-19, 2020. Nearly 3,500 attendees, from more than 80 countries, participated in the virtual event which featured a series of keynote presentations, workshops and networking sessions from the world's foremost international security experts who discussed the key challenges and opportunities that ISF member companies and businesses will face in 2021. Key topics of discussion included cyber security in the boardroom, effective risk management post pandemic, human-centred security and the ISF's trademark, forward looking threat assessment, Threat Horizon 2023.

This year's event included thought provoking and personal development enrichment keynote sessions by the following:

·       Sir Bob Geldof

·       Shoshana Zuboff

·       Dame Inga Beale

·       Dr. Hannah Fry

"Our first-ever, virtual Congress was an incredible success and could not have gone smoother, thanks to the support of our global member companies," said Steve Durbin, Managing Director of the ISF. "Feedback from attendees has been outstanding as the event once again provided a setting where attendees could receive insights on how they can solve today, and tomorrow's, most prevalent security problems."

The annual event allows attendees to interact and build peer-to-peer relationships with senior, international decision-makers including global business leaders, CISOs, senior security professionals and specialist cyber security and risk management practitioners, to share in the ISF experience in a confidential, peer-group environment. For the first time, the ISF World Congress was broadcast live across multiple time zones, providing a unique interactive global event experience, allowing attendees to watch and participate in the full agenda at times that best suit their schedules. ISF World Congress included an extensive, collaborative breakout program which gave attendees a broader view of the experiences of others on today's most pressing security issues.

"There has never been a time more critical than now to future proof your organization and employees," continued Durbin. "We are already looking forward to next year's gathering of the most powerful cyber security experts to discuss today's most pressing, global security issues."

The ISF is an independent, not-for-profit organization with a membership comprising many of the world's leading organizations featured on the Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000 lists. The organization is dedicated to investigating, clarifying, and resolving key issues in information security and risk management, by developing best practice methodologies, processes and solutions that meet the business needs of their members.
