The author read was a wonderful representation of the power in the written word when performed by its author on a live stage. Her performance was as daunting as it was courageous. The evening was filled with performances that encouraged, inspired, caused you to shed a tear, and made you laugh beyond belief. New author Raymond Francis read from his urban thriller "Truth Hurts, Lies Kill." Mikayla Diamond performed an excerpt from "Patience is Bliss," author Angela Taylor read from her novel "Blindsided," Two unexpected highlights came from Diamond in the Rough author Sincere Sherman when she read a poem by N.
