MARIETTA, Ga. - Sept. 6, 2021 - PRLog -- Unprecedented, unpracticed, and unexpectedly remarkable talent rained down on the virtual stage of the Book Slam on Clubhouse Tuesday night, August 31st.   Eight authors from various literary genres and professional backgrounds poured their hearts across the stage with the magic that is the spoken word.  Books were instantly brought to life as each author performed an excerpt of their books, allowing their voice to transform their writings into pure performance art.

Wendy Reed Randall launched the show with her heartfelt memoir titled "Once There Was a Girl."  Her performance was a virtual illustration of a young girl's growth from childhood to adulthood, and the incredible road taken to get there.  The author read was a wonderful representation of the power in the written word when performed by its author on a live stage.  Her performance was as daunting as it was courageous.

The evening was filled with performances that encouraged, inspired, caused you to shed a tear, and made you laugh beyond belief.  New author Raymond Francis read from his urban thriller "Truth Hurts, Lies Kill."  Mikayla Diamond performed an excerpt from "Patience is Bliss," author Angela Taylor read from her novel "Blindsided," and author B. L. Swem read from her latest installment in the Jena Parker book series "The Final Resolution."  A. J. Ross gave a riveting performance from her latest fantasy novel in the House of Rahilius book series, "Sword Nation 1."  African storyteller Stephen Ogah performed from his novel "The African New Yorker" live from Nigeria.

Two unexpected highlights came from Diamond in the Rough author Sincere Sherman when she read a poem by N. D. "Indy" Brennan titled the "Psalm of Success."  Her explosive performance ignited a sense of motivation the likes of Les Brown, Tony Robbins, and Eric Thomas.   Sincere Sherman was then followed by comedienne Queen Aishah, author of Dating After Marriage Chronicles.  The laughter started during her introduction and continued until after the show concluded.  Queen Aishah was the perfect conclusion to a talent-filled night.

In a space previously reserved for stages such as TED Talks, The Moth, This American Life, and Snap Judgment for storytellers, the Book Slam on Clubhouse is a platform now available for authors.  Every Tuesday at 8 PM EST and 5 PM pacific, authors from around the world perform before a virtual audience live reads of their books, making real-life experiences and fantasies feel as momentarily real as a Marvel Comic movie.
