NEW YORK - Oct. 8, 2021 - PRLog -- Christelle Bois (a.k.a. "EFDLT Studio"), is an NYC-based award-winning documentary filmmaker known for her first acclaimed feature documentary film Americart 2019, produced by Legit Productions and released on Amazon Prime Video in June 2020.

As a child, she would have never imagined that she could do anything artistic, and yet decades after, she does. She is dedicated to advocate for better access to the arts and to point out all the barriers that impede access to art such as social origin, economic status, cultural differences, and systemic discriminations.

With her first documentary film Americart 2019, she had at heart to touch the viewer's soul with intimate and truthful interviews of everyday Americans about their personal relationships with art. She likes to hammer that art is not a "niche for educated people", "it is the very soul of our society".

Filmed during a road trip across America from NYC to Sonoma County, CA, via Maryland, Tennesse, Kansas, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and California, Bois and her camera crew conducted intimate interviews of artists, art curators, art teachers, and everyday Americans about the role of art in their lives.

Following the critical and public success of her first film, Christelle Bois is now directing with the same passion and energy the new docuseries The Story of Art in America (Ten thirty-minutes episodes per season), also produced by Legit Productions.  Season 1 was filmed in May and June 2021 in ten destinations: Seattle, WA; Everett, WA; Coeur d'Alene Native American Tribe, ID; Great Falls, MT; Sheridan, WY; Casper, WY; Santa Fe, NM; Yountville, CA; Yolo County, CA; Phoenix, AZ.

Currently in post-production (Released planned in Q1 2022), The Story of Art in America is exploring the transformative role of art in our society, through thought-provoking and emotional interviews of diverse artists.

"I want to show that art is and has always been a core part of our society and our communities, and in particular historically disadvantaged communities ", said Christelle Bois

"I also want to encourage everyone to travel and re-discover these cities through the lens of art and culture", she added.

Season 2 has already been confirmed and will be filmed in the spring of 2022 for a Q1 2023 release.
