CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, Mexico - July 28, 2022 - PRLog -- Tiendanube presents the study "The digital path of SMEs: challenges and solutions", in which it exposes the challenges that latin american entrepreneurs have faced on their way to digitalization, that is, to the incorporation of their business to the Internet.

Digitalization as a reality for SMEs
According to the INEGI, there are more than 4 million SMEs in the country, each of them with the possibility of integrating the digital transformation process into their business.

According to the analysis of Tiendanube, with data from a survey of online sellers, the three biggest challenges they have faced are:

• Of a technological nature 34%
• Time dedicated to business 27
• Monetary investment 23%

The digital landscape is different for an SME that seeks to digitize than for a "startup" company, that is, one that is born entirely from the digital channel. In Mexico there are around 4,000,157 SMEs and only 574 startups, that is, 6,968.9 SMEs for each startup, according to figures from the Startup Ranking.

"We know that 80% of our users opened their online store looking to increase their sales. Our intention with this study is to be able to offer an x-ray of the current state of this business sector that serves as a reference to be able to provide alternatives that help them to specify their process towards digital transformation", mentioned Juan Martín Vignart, Country Manager of Tiendanube México.

It is no longer a physical business with an online store, but rather a digital ecosystem in which each channel contributes value to the business. It is in this sense that it is essential to encourage more and more SMEs to digitalize themselves to boost their sales, enhance their brand and at the same time improve the ecosystem by demanding more and better administration, sales and marketing options.
