Demonstrations and Regional Program Updates Featured at Tactical Communications Workshop

Software Communications Architecture Test Suite Access Information Highlighted

BONN, Germany - Nov. 15, 2022 - PRLog -- The Wireless Innovation Forum (http://www.wirelessinnovation.org/) (WInnForum) a non-profit international industry association dedicated to driving the future of radio communications and systems worldwide, announced today that it will hold its Tactical Communications Workshop at Fraunhofer FKIE in Wachtberg, Germany, 7 December 2022.  The program will feature updates from the US and Europe along with demonstrations of the Software Communications Architecture (SCA) 4.1 Test Suite by Bill Brickner and Chalena Jimenez of the Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC)(USA), and SCA-Pass, SCA 4.1 Waveform Compliance Testing SBIR by Jakub Moskal of Vistology (USA).

SCA standards have been adopted globally for defense communications; two of the most widely accepted versions being SCA 2.2.2 and SCA 4.1. While both sets of SCA standards and specifications are available through the WInnForum and JTNC, the corresponding test procedures and tools were not made available publicly until Summer 2022 when the JTNC has transferred the SCA 2.2.2 test procedures and JTNC Test Application (JTAP) to the Wireless Innovation Forum to share with the SCA development community. This workshop will include what is available and how to access it.

The program also includes talks on:
  • Wireless Innovation Forum projects
  • Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA™) and how it interfaces with the SCA
  • ESSOR
  • NATO IST-187 RTG on 5G Technologies Application to NATO Operations
  • Regional program updates from France, Germany and Finland

Registration is complementary but required for badge access. For the full agenda and registration, visit https://Europe.WirelessInnovation.org.

The event is supported by platinum sponsor Thales (http://www.thalesgroup.com/). Visit http://Europe.WirelessInnovation.org to learn more.
