Hindus offer condolences on the death of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI

VATICAN CITY, Vatican City State - Dec. 31, 2022 - PRLog -- Hindus have offered condolences on the death of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, who died on December 31 in Vatican City.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that they were saddened by the passing of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI; an esteemed theologian, prolific writer, and an intellectual powerhouse with an unwavering faith in morality and ethics.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, noted that they appreciated and admired Benedict's advocacy of peace and nuclear disarmament; commitment to improving the human condition; defending the rights of displaced people, migrants, refugees; emphasizing that God is love; fostering of interreligious dialogue; promoting fairer distribution of wealth; stand against excessive consumerism and unethical forms of capitalism; support of environmental causes; urging the world to strive for common good; etc.

Rajan Zed further said that they commended the principled leadership of Benedict; a great humanitarian and human rights champion; and his efforts at spreading compassion and love.
