BOSTON - Aug. 15, 2023 - PRLog -- Every child deserves the love and safety of a nurturing environment, yet far too many are denied this basic right. Disturbingly, recent studies conducted by JAMA Pediatrics reveal that children in foster care are 42% more likely to die than their counterparts in the general population, regardless of race or age. Rooted in a multitude of issues within the foster care system, including abuse, negligence, and lack of support, this heartbreaking reality demands urgent attention and action.

In a captivating new memoir titled "Indomitable," renowned social justice advocate Di Ciruolo courageously shares her powerful story of survival within the foster care system. The book not only exposes the systematic injustices but also offers a compelling step-by-step approach to personal recovery and guidance for survivors and their supporters.

"Indomitable" is slated for release on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, and promises to be a compelling, poignant, and transformative literary work. Readers will embark on an intimate journey with Di Ciruolo, from her harrowing experiences during childhood to the challenges she faced as a mother. This candid narrative creates a safe space for trauma survivors and provides hope and healing for those in search of solace.

Di Ciruolo's narrative is laced with intentional wit and an unwavering commitment to self-reflection, allowing readers to find relatable moments throughout her captivating journey. Through her words, readers will find inspiration and strength to navigate their own paths to healing.

"I began this journey because I needed to get the story out of me. Giving voice to these experiences hasn't only healed me, it's empowered me to help others speak and heal too. Indomitable unflinchingly examines what children in foster care go through in order to survive the system; what histories they may have, what issues they may be facing, and normalizes the healing process for them and their supporters. Readers will be changed by this book," says Di.
