RINGWOOD, U.K. - Aug. 29, 2023 - PRLog -- Fantastic Books Publishing is delighted to unveil Lady Hartley's Husbands, a captivating work of historical fiction authored by Andrea Emblin.

Andrea drew inspiration for the book from a chance encounter on a train journey. Overhearing a cryptic conversation that hinted at hidden scandals, she was inspired to take up a theme she had been mulling over for some  time. "I used to know someone who married a rich, much older widower, who then had everything she could have wished for materially, and yet... it didn't bring the expected joy," says Andrea. "I knew it was a theme I would one day explore in a novel."

Dan Grubb, CEO of Fantastic Books Publishing, was hesitant when the manuscript first landed on his desk. "Historical fiction is not mainstream for us," he explains, "and we didn't take Andrea's novel when she first submitted it, but she was clearly a talented writer, and we gave her detailed feedback. She took it on board and came back to us with a book that crackles with human drama. We couldn't turn it down."

Lady Hartley's Husbands takes readers from 1930s Cornwall, through war-torn London, to the post-war Cotswolds, delving into a world of scandal, romance, and intrigue. Meticulous research and evocative storytelling bring the past to life.
