The Junior League of Fort Myers anticipates project "Reveal"

Benefitting Goodwill's Disability Service, Pathways to Opportunity
 
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Oct. 16, 2023 - PRLog -- The Junior League of Fort Myers Sustainers, have announced the "REVEAL" of their recent project at Pathways to Opportunity (PTO), Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida's life skills training program for adults with disabilities. On October 18, 2023 at 4 p.m., organizers will host the reveal ceremony for their donors and sustainers involved. The event will be hosted at the PTO facility, located on the east side of the Goodwill Opportunity Center at 5100 Tice Street, Fort Myers.

"Since the moment the Junior League Sustainers have walked into Pathways to Opportunity, they have shared their passion for this community and the adults we serve, and it has been contagious. We are grateful to have them as amazing partners supporting us, as we empower our program participants," says Ashley Price, Goodwill SWFL Director of Development.

"Many of us with Sustainer membership status have participated in numerous projects and fundraisers that have supported the Arts, Community, Education, Family, Healthcare, the Judicial System, and Youth," states Nan Miller, Past President Junior League of Fort Myers and current Sustainer Council Chairperson. "Today we continue to support and have expanded our commitment to making a difference in our community that is grounded in the history of the Junior League movement – a movement that spans more than one hundred years. A movement that has encompassed the changing needs of our world." Our "Showering the Pathways to Opportunity" Project this year "refreshed" the lobby area, updated the shower and restroom areas, provided clothing racks filled with clothing and added yard games for everyone to enjoy.

Since 1966, The Junior League of Fort Myers has been an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
