American Dog Society Welcomes Joiel Ray-Alexander to National Board

MEDFORD, N.Y. - Oct. 24, 2023 - PRLog -- American Dog Society (ADS) is pleased to announce that Joiel Ray-Alexander has joined the national board to enhance the organization and bolster our mission. ADS is creating better, more educated pet parents by advocating, organizing resources, and connecting people across the United States to improve the lives of dogs and reduce the number of surrendered or abandoned dogs.

Joiel Ray-Alexander joined the national board on October 18th, 2023. ADS looks forward to combining her extensive expertise and knowledge to enhance the organization and expand our charitable efforts.

Ray-Alexander is an executive stalwart with over 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles focused on growth, marketing communications, strategic partnerships, and public relations. She works across a variety of industries, including healthcare and philanthropy. Joiel is an agile and inspirational powerhouse who brings people and teams together for the greater good.

She has also been a leader in higher education administration. She developed a strategic communications plan that has impacted more than 400,000 students at SUNY System Administration. As a Veritus Scholar, Joiel is committed to personal transformation and lifelong learning.

ADS's aims to become the leading and most comprehensive information source for dog parents. Fostering partnerships with shelters, rescues, fellow dog charities, veterinarians, groomers, product manufacturers, and retailers to create a collaborative network. To create and manage an educational program for people that are looking to get a dog, just got a dog, or people looking to refresh their dog knowledge. Currently, 20% of all dogs adopted end up back at a shelter within the first year. ADS's educational course is designed to reduce that number and save thousands of dogs from going into shelters.
