AIXLAB releases trailer for horror VR room escape game 'Forbidden Art'

GANGNAM-GU, South Korea - Nov. 9, 2023 - PRLog -- SEOUL, South Korea - AIXLAB, an emerging new media content creator, has released an in-game trailer for its latest VR horror escape game, Forbidden Art. The trailer was released globally today via the AIXLAB GAMES channel on YouTube.

AIXLAB, which has been focusing on VR content development since 2018, has garnered attention in the global offline VR market, especially in China and North America, with its masquerade VR series. "Forbidden Art" utilizes realistic objects and sounds to bring the game experience to life.

The game tells a suspenseful story of a player escaping from a killer's secret lair, and in the VR environment, players experience horrifying scenes and environments while solving various escape puzzles and gimmicks. The studio said it plans to release the early access version on November 24.

Forbidden Art is set in a killer's lair in a converted abandoned chapel in a remote village in South Korea. Players must make their way through a variety of spaces, including dungeons, secret passageways, laboratories, morgues, vents, and chapels, while trying to escape from the killer. Some areas of the game are very dark and require the use of a lighter or flashlight.

Forbidden Art is a VR game that supports "6m X 6m roomscale mode," meaning that the entire map of the game is built to fit into a 6m X 6m real-world space. Players can actually move around and play in every space in the game. It also offers a "Controller Movement Mode" for players with limited space.

Almost every object in the game can be grabbed and interacted with, and some have special interactions. There are no in-game hints to help you escape, and the puzzles can be quite challenging. Players must utilize items in their inventory and carefully observe their surroundings to find a way out.

The VR horror market has been growing in recent years, and the release of Forbidden Art is expected to revitalize the market. AIXLAB is actively utilizing the latest VR technology to provide players with a realistic and immersive experience.
