Washington Home Care LLC, DBA Homemaker Companion Registry, Offering No Registry Fee For Veterans

WASHINGTON, Conn. - Nov. 9, 2023 - PRLog -- Washington Home Care LLC, dba Washington Homemaker Companion Registry, has announced the waiver of the registry fee for wartime Veterans, volunteer ambulance, and fire personnel, and their families living within the five villages of Washington, Connecticut, to receive a roster of non-medical home care service providers whom they can hire to personally assist them with the needs of daily living.

"As we celebrate our fifth year in business," states Washington Home Care LLC Owner Sara Guillemette, "our give back to our community is to waive the registry fee for Washington Villages-area wartime Veterans and their spouses, volunteer ambulance and fire department personnel, and their families to receive a list of non-medical care service providers they can personally hire to help them with the needs of daily living. The villages include Washington, Washington Depot, New Preston, Marbledale, and Woodville."

Washington Home Care LLC was founded by Guillemette, a 22-year Litchfield County resident, on December 21, 2019. The business is a registry of service providers who are hired as private duty assistants by individuals, families, or their legal healthcare representatives, for non-medical care in the home setting, rehab centers, and hospitals. The service providers take both their direction and their payment directly from each client.

"The role of this registry," clarified Guillemette, "is to thoroughly vet service providers and then to help with the coordination of non-medical services for people in need of assistance with activities of daily living. Homemaker-companion agencies and registries provide non-medical companionship and assistance.

"Non-medical companion services we help to coordinate include assistance with cooking, laundry, light cleaning, organizing, grocery shopping, personal hygiene, walks, playing cards, conversing, completing needed errands, and going to movies. We have a robust list of service providers to pair with individuals and families who need day-to-day assistance."

Currently, there are 30+ Washington Home Care LLC providers servicing individuals and families throughout Litchfield County. These service providers include non-certified homemaker companions, certified nurse assistants, certified home health aides, and certified personal care attendants.
