BOSTON - Jan. 20, 2024 - PRLog -- Labeled "explosive" and "enthralling" by the Boston Globe, the two-time New England Music Award nominee Revolutionary Snake Ensemble again brings to the Boston-area their annual Mardi Gras Party. Returning to Scullers Jazz Club, RSE's rousing performances have become a local Mardi Gras custom, with shows that have repeatedly sold out, and upbeat performances that are guaranteed to "beat the band." RSE has upheld this NOLA-style tradition for 25 plus years, and with any luck, looking forward to another 25 and then some.

RSE will again be joined by New Orleans veteran saxophonist Amadee Castenell, whose numerous credits include Dr. John, The Neville Bros, Allen Toussaint, Elvis Costello, and many others. Also joining the band will be electrifying vocalist and New Orleans legend Henri Smith.

RSE, led by co-founder Ken Field (alto sax), will also include Tom Hall (https://www.freeimprovisation.com/who-is-tom-hall) (tenor sax), Dave Harris (https://college.berklee.edu/people/david-harris) (trombone & tuba), Blake Newman (https://blakenewman.org/about) (bass), and Phil Neighbors (https://www.jpmc.us/philneighbors) (drums). "… this Boston-area band puts premium on Mardi Gras-style rhythm … but also pursues a sinuous, writhing counterpoint, in ways that justify the band's name." (NY Times)
