GPHCC's Accelerate Business Program Propels Entrepreneurs to New Heights

PHILADELPHIA - Feb. 5, 2024 - PRLog -- The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GPHCC) announces the start of the recruitment period for the seventh cohort of its Accelerate Business program for small businesses. This entrepreneurship education program is an exciting collaboration between the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, the African American Chamber of Commerce of PA, DE, and NJ, and the Independence Business Alliance. The program is set to kick off its latest cohort on March 20th, 2024.

Accelerate Business, hosted by GPHCC, stands out as a cohort-based entrepreneurship program that leverages an award-winning curriculum provided by Interise. The program's five comprehensive modules delve into critical aspects of business success, covering goal setting, cash flow and financial management, sales and marketing strategy, operations, and procurement. As a unique feature, participants develop a strategic 3-year growth plan and benefit from peer mentoring groups.

"Cohort after cohort, we witness how entrepreneurs evolve. They identify strengths, address weaknesses, and develop business strategies that will guide their future success. Just as important are the relationships and collaborations that emerge along the way," said Jennifer Rodriguez, President & CEO of GPHCC.

Business owners accepted into the program will not only receive the benefits of a great curriculum and learning environment, but they will also become a part of an ecosystem that nurtures their growth.

Originally conceived with the vision of accelerating the growth of Hispanic-owned businesses in Philadelphia, the Accelerate Business program alumni have experienced substantial growth, marking significant milestones along their journey. Among the success stories are:

Georgette Luna, Owner of Sea Philly:
The Accelerate Business program allowed her to gain knowledge to further develop her business and create a community around her. Sharif Pendleton, Laser Philly:
Pendleton credits his participation in the Accelerate Business program with helping him to acquire the building of his new retail location, which opened nine weeks ago. When asked to describe the program, Pendleton shares: "When I've talked to people about it before, what I have told them is to just do it...It sounds like a big commitment, and truthfully, it is a big commitment, but it's one that you owe yourself if you want to see your business grow and be able to move forward."
