ATLANTA - Feb. 13, 2024 - PRLog -- Girls of Excellence, Inc. (GOE) and The Power of Girls (POG) are thrilled to announce their collaborative event, "Mind, Body, Spirit", a Wellness Day for Girls, set to take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 11-2:30 PM. Sponsored by 1800 Truck Wreck and hosted by the dynamic Brianna Harmon, TV Host, Podcaster, and Event Curator, this event promises to be an inspiring celebration of health and empowerment.

The event will be held at the Atlanta Metropolitan State College and is designed to uplift and educate young girls aged 8 to 18 about the importance of holistic wellness. With February marking American Heart Month, the event aims to promote heart health awareness at an early age while nurturing the overall well-being of attendees.

At the heart of this initiative lies the commitment to empower young girls through comprehensive guidance on nurturing their minds, bodies, and souls. Participants will engage in a range of activities tailored to instill good self-care habits, including mental health resources, exercise and physical movement, personal hygiene, physical self-examination, and healthy cooking tips and recipes. Yoga and meditation sessions will provide avenues for mental awareness and relaxation, fostering a positive mindset.

"Mind, Body, Spirit" goes beyond physical health, offering invaluable opportunities for personal and professional growth as well. There will also be a variety of speakers who will address topics aimed at cultivating confidence and leadership skills, empowering these young girls to thrive in all aspects of their lives.

This year's event will also feature a parent café, acknowledging the crucial role parents play in supporting their daughters. Parents will have the chance to engage in a Q&A session on advocating for their girls, as well as relaxation activities and access to community resources.

Toya Phillips, Founder of Girls of Excellence, and Tameka Kee, Founder of The Power of Girls collectively shared "We are thrilled to join forces as this is a wonderful way to highlight the beauty in collaboration. As we both have similar missions to uplift young girls, it just made sense. We hope this will encourage more collaboration amongst other organizations in Atlanta and also serve as an inspiration for the young girls who will be attending. They're definitely in for a treat on February 24th. We aim to equip these girls with the tools they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives."
