Seattle Event Connects Women and Girls with Outdoor Adventure Groups and Non-Profits

SEATTLE – Women's Outdoor Connection is back with its next event on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at The Collective, 400 Dexter Ave North in Seattle.

The event will host over a dozen women's outdoor non-profit groups, instructors, and supporters of women in outdoor sports.

Picture this: hiking, mountain biking, sailing, surfing, paddleboarding, rock climbing, and even outdoor photography – all under one roof! Meet the leaders and volunteers who make it happen. It's not just about the activities; it's about building confidence, forming empowering connections, and having fun! In October, over 150 women gathered to connect and learn from each other.

This event is for all levels and all ages. Women and girls will learn about the groups and talk with leaders and volunteers who organize a wide range of outdoor activities specifically for women.

Hosted by Andrea Hamilton, a local ski instructor and owner of PowderPoobah.com, this will be an inspiring event. "I am excited to host this again and bring together so many women who share a love of outdoor adventures," said Hamilton. "It's not easy to plan outings with friends. My goal is to make it easier for others by making the connections. This event is perfect for women who want to try something new, find like-minded friends, or just enjoy the outdoors."

Tickets are $50 adult and $25 for youth which includes food, beverages, raffle tickets, and an inspiring speaker series. Proceeds from the raffle benefit Mary's Place of Seattle, an organization supporting women and families in need.
