Northport's Family Night Welcomes Local Author and a Tale of Ancient Secrets

NORTHPORT, N.Y. - July 10, 2025 - PRLog -- As Main Street comes alive for Family Night in Northport, local author K.A. Nayampalli returns to share her debut young adult novel, A Journey to the Heart of Kumari: Guardians of a Secret Legacy. The book signing will take place at The Book Whisperer, located inside The Nest on Main, on Monday, July 15th at 6:30 PM.

Inspired by the author's travels through Nepal and a lifelong search for meaning, the novel follows sixteen-year-old Harrison Sharma as a family vacation transforms into a life-changing journey. What begins as a search for a sacred diamond becomes a deeper quest through mystery, ancestry, and spiritual truth.

"This story was born in the sacred landscapes of Nepal, but the seed of it was planted right here in Northport," Nayampalli says. "To return home with the finished book—and share it during Family Night—is something I'll always treasure."

Aimed at teens and adults alike, Guardians of a Secret Legacy blends adventure, spiritual themes, and cultural depth. Readers will find a compelling story woven with mystery, ancestral legacy, and emotional growth.

The event is free and open to the public. Copies of the book will be available on-site for signing and purchase. All are welcome.
