LMJ's Lost Souls-Alzheimer's Fund Donates $10,000 to Advocate Health Care's Memory Center

PARK RIDGE, Ill. - March 27, 2024 - PRLog -- LMJ's Lost Souls-Alzheimer's Fund, a prominent advocate for Alzheimer's disease awareness and support, has generously donated $10,000 to Advocate Health Care's Memory Center at Lutheran General Hospital. This donation is aimed at enhancing the center's capabilities in diagnosing and supporting patients with memory loss, including Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

The Memory Center at Advocate Health Care is renowned for its mission to provide the highest-quality, patient-centered care. However, many patients go undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, or experience delays in diagnosis due to limitations in primary care physician resources and expertise. To address this gap, the Memory Center has implemented BrainCheck, a digital screening tool provided to over 50 PCPs to standardize screening methods.

The $10,000 donation has enabled the center to purchase six additional BrainCheck licenses and two additional iPads for early cognitive testing.
