Dr. Pamela Carbiener to Speak at Women United Flagler Educational Series on April 11

PALM COAST, Fla. - March 29, 2024 - PRLog -- Women United Flagler, an affinity group of Community Foundation & United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties (CF/UWVFC), in collaboration with WARM (Women Assisting Recovering Mothers) and Flagler OARS (Open Arms Recovery Services), is pleased to invite the public to its no-cost April educational event. The topic and speaker for the group's "Women United Flagler Presents" series is Dr. Pamela Carbiener and Chloe Singleton, NP, both from Halifax OBGYN and this month's topic will be hormone replacement therapy, menopause and basic screenings.

The April 11th event will be held from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at WARM located at 301 Justice Lane, Bunnell. The educational series, focused on  the health and well-being of women, launched in February and is a no-cost, bi-monthly series designed to educate and empower attendees.

Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited, and interested participants are asked to register at https://bit.ly/WUFPresents to secure a spot.

"We're passionate about the transformative effect of collective education on both individual health and community wellness," said Pam Birtolo, CEO of Flagler OARS. "Our workshops are designed to tackle crucial women's health challenges, nurturing a knowledgeable, thriving, and strong community," she added.

Attendees are welcome to bring a baby item for the babies that live with their mothers at WARM if they are able such as diapers, wipes, and most other baby necessities.

Since its inception in 2009, Women United Flagler has raised and given back over $334,000 to the Flagler County community. Beyond the Power of the Purse, Women United Flagler is best known for their food-raising project Chicks with Cans. Members volunteer outside Publix's collecting monetary donations for Feed Flagler in the spring and fall. All donations received stay in Flagler County to help those that are food insecure. Since 2012, Chicks with Cans has collected monetary donations totaling $64,733.
