March 20, 2007 - PRLog -- Marysville, OH -- March 20, 2007 -- UniKeep LLC, manufacturer of innovative, patented and environmentally friendly binders, media storage and marketing mailers, is pleased to announce it has recently become a member of Ohio-based Edison Materials Technology Center (EMTEC). UniKeep will work with EMTEC for technical coordination, business assistance, and commercialization support to garner new business opportunities in Ohio's industry, university, and government laboratory sectors.

Non-profit EMTEC is an organization designed to strengthen Ohio's industrial competitiveness in advanced energy, automotive, metals and castings, nanomaterials, polymers, composites, biomaterials, and other advanced materials markets.

“EMTEC is assisting UniKeep in our ongoing green product strategy and interest in emerging technologies for manufacturing development.  I look forward to working with them to create new opportunities for UniKeep,” said Ross Youngs, UniKeep CEO.  “We were recently represented by EMTEC in Tokyo, Japan at the International NanoTech show,” added Youngs.

According to the Lux Research report “Profiting from International Nanotechnology,” worldwide nanotechnology investments have significantly increased over the past few years. In 2006, $12.4 billion was spent in nanotech R&D and over $50 billion worth of nano-enabled products were sold.  EMTEC supports several small and medium sized companies in helping to develop market ready products using nanotechnology and/or the necessary infrastructural supply chain for nanotechnology-enabled products.  As part of its support and assistance, EMTEC represented select member companies at the International NanoTech show in Tokyo.  The representation is a result of EMTEC’s ongoing relationship with technology entities and research institutes in Ohio’s sister state in Japan (Saitama Prefecture).

“The opportunity to present UniKeep’s products in the International NanoTech venue provided an excellent supply chain related opportunity to those involved in nanotechnology products.  UniKeep’s binders and other UniKeep products are environmentally-friendly and are full life cycle compliant with global green strategies.  This is very important, particularly in Japan and other countries where product environmental impact is of significant consumer, business, and political focus,” stated David Swenson, Vice President Business Initiative for EMTEC.

UniKeep offers document and media products for presentation, organization, storage and marketing.  The product line includes the UniKeep™ Binders which are fully enclosed and stackable, preventing tear-out, resisting moisture, PVC-free and most are metal free for easy security screening; Disc binders, disc wallets and Safety-sleeve® disc pages in 100% archival-safe polypropylene; Accessories; and the EnvyPak™ line of archival envelopes and marketing mailers.
