A Votre Santé! Creations at The Art Institute Offers Wine Tastings August 9 and September 13

July 3, 2007 - PRLog -- ATLANTA (GA) – This summer, Creations, the teaching dining room of the culinary arts program at The Art Institute of Atlanta, will offer a wonderful opportunity to experience some new wines in the elegant surroundings of this lovely white-linen restaurant. On August 9, join Chef Ophelia Santos, lead faculty member and wine expert, and sample an exciting selection of Sauvignon Blancs – perfect for your summer palate. Cost is $15 per person plus tax and gratuity. And on September 13, you can experience a selection of Pinot Noirs – perfect wines for the fall season. Cost is $20 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Ophelia Santos, D.W.S., lead faculty, holds a Level IV Diploma with Merit in Wines & Spirits and a Level III Advanced Certificate with Distinction from London’s Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). She is currently pursuing her master’s of wine certification from the prestigious Institute of Masters of Wine in London. She is a member of the Society of Wine Educators and of the United Kingdom’s Institute of Wine & Spirits, and is the founder/director of WineWise, an Approved Program Provider for WSET certification classes in Atlanta, one of a handful of centers in the country.  She is both managing editor and wine, spirits, and beverage editor for “Flavors” Magazine.  And her newest project is handling marketing and public relations for a major Chilean winery.
