Contact: Lorie Kellogg (845) 647-9475 lkie@waterlogg.com Veteran Public Radio Producer and Writer Joe Bevilacqua Chosen as Subject for prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop Barnstorm XX Two day photo shoot reveals a low impact lifestyle in the woods of Napanoch, New York, two hours northwest of Manhattan November 19, 2007, NAPANOCH, NY, NY -- Veteran broadcaster- Bevilacqua's life was captured on film October 6 and 7, 2007, as he was followed around by Christopher Pike, a freelance photojournalist who traveled from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada for the shoot, during which Bevilacqua demonstrated some of the faces he makes when creating his character's voices, read a radio comedy script with his wife, cooked dinner in a solar cooker, make fresh soy milk, drew a cartoon, played with his dogs and ran naked through the woods. The workshop is a tuition-free, invitation-only event. Attendees are portfolio-selected by the Eddie Adams Workshop Board of Directors. Joe Bevilacqua an award-winning voice actor, radio producer, author, dramatist, humorist, cartoonist, documentary film producer, vegetarian and nature lover, lives a low impact lifestyle with his wife, Lorie Kellogg, and their three dogs, George, Gracie and Zasu, and their two cats, Offica Pup and Krazy Kat in the woods of Napanoch, New York, two hours northwest of Manhattan. Bevilacqua authored the authorized biography of his childhood hero and mentor of 13-years, the late Daws Butler, who was the voice of famous Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters, including Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and Quick Draw McGraw. Bevilacqua also writes weekly for The Ellenville Journal in Ellenville, NY, and recently contributed a number of articles and drawings to the premiere issue of New York's Orange Magazine. In 2004, Christopher Pike was named Photographer of the Year by Loyalist College, (Belleville, Ontario). His work was published nationwide throughout a series of high profile internships, which included Canada’s national news agency, The Canadian Press.He has traveled the world extensively both on and off assignment. At the age of 19 he covered the 2004 Summer Olympic games in Athens, Greece, and in 2006, the Winter Olympic games in Torino, Italy, resulting in work being published worldwide.As a staff photographer for the Brandon Sun, a daily newspaper in southwestern, Manitoba, Pike produced award winning images for two years. Most recently, being awarded second place in the National Photographers Association of Canada’s picture of the year competition, as well as being selected for the prestigious Eddie Adams Barnstorm XX workshop.
