Follow on Google News | NYSE listed BMC Software appoints Ogilvy PR IndiaAgency to implement a comprehensive communications program with focus on talent acquisition and industry analyst relations
Emerging the winner from among top names in PR in India, Ogilvy PR will develop communications strategies and programs to raise the profile of BMC Software to attract and recruit talent for the company’s fast growing development centre in Pune. In addition, the comprehensive communications program will include elements of traditional media and industry analyst relations to raise customer and channel partner awareness of BMC’s enterprise management solutions that enable companies to manage IT from a business perspective. “We are looking forward to doing some result driven work for BMC Software in India. Though Ogilvy PR works with BMC Software in other Asian markets, for India, we had to demonstrate that we are the right agency for them. Our proven expertise in brand building, strong understanding of technology business in the Indian milieu and our contemporary approach to both traditional media and the fast emerging digital media proved to be the differentiators,” “Also, our specialist units in digital influence, CSR and crisis management provide our clients a globally attuned, fully ready agency which can effectively partner them in all their brand building plans,” she added. “India is a critical and strategic market for BMC, employing more than 750 research and development staff and expanding rapidly. It is critical we have the right partner on board to manage our communications programs and Ogilvy PR demonstrated throughout the evaluation process that they understand our business, the market and what we are trying to achieve,” said Mark Stouse, BMC’s global corporate communications leader. “Given our effective partnerships with Ogilvy PR companies in other key markets within Asia Pacific, adding India to Ogilvy’s footprint with BMC is a natural evolution,” said Pip Livingstone, senior manager of field marketing and communications for BMC’s Asia-Pacific region. “The agency review for India was hotly contested by a number of top firms, but Ogilvy was a definite stand-out and we’re pleased to be working with them in such an important market.” Luca Penati, managing director of Ogilvy PR’s Global Technology Practice, said: “For several years, Ogilvy PR has been a strategic partner for BMC Software in the Asia Pacific region. BMC requires a team that is familiar with the complexity of the enterprise management software industry, yet is able to go beyond traditional tech PR with a team that knows how to create thought leadership campaigns and link those campaigns to concrete business results.” Ogilvy PR is currently BMC Software’s agency of record in a number of countries in Asia-Pacific. This includes H-Line in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong; PRAP in Japan; and Howorth Communications in Australia.
