Follow on Google News | Call of the Wild Ltd named Best in Wales at National Tourism AwardsCall of the Wild Ltd , an outdoor activity provider and team development company based in Neath, Wales are thrilled to announce they have been voted Team Building Company of the Year at the Visit Wales National Tourism Awards 2007.
By: Marketing Tom Short-listed with two other Companies from Wales, the winner of this prestigious award was announced at a grand ceremony which took place in October 2007 at Bodelwyddan Castle, Denbighshire. This was the climax of Wales’ biggest tourism event - Showcase Wales, where tourist and travel related buyers from across the globe visit Wales to see what the country has to offer. “We are absolutely delighted. It illustrates that our work in the fields of management training, team building and leadership development is recognised as some of the best in the country,” explained Geraint Lewis, Managing Director. This year, the final adjudication was carried out by an independent judge, David Atkinson. He is an experienced travel writer with credits that include the Lonely Planet Wales guidebook. He has already visited Call of the Wild. The winner was revealed by BBC TV presenter, Huw Edwards. Call of the Wild was set up in 1998 by three old school friends from Neath, who gave up their professional careers and returned to their hometown to pursue their dream of owning and running a training and activity centre with a difference. They are committed to ensuring that clients are introduced to the wonderful local environment with a view to enhancing their learning, appreciation and enjoyment of the unique countryside within Brecon Beacons National Park, Neath Valley and Gower. The Company has grown to be not only one of the biggest in Wales but also the UK regularly delivering programmes for clients across the UK and Europe. It has a client base which includes companies such as Orange Mobile Phones, Panasonic, Admiral , BMW and Vodafone.
