This version of No Magic’s award-winning business process, and architecture modeling tool adds the full UML 2.1.2 support. It includes all changes of UML 2.1, UML 2.1.1 and UML 2.1.2 specifications. All changes are reflected in notation, XMI, EMF interchange, UML 1.4 import and all other related functionalities. Open API has been changed to reflect the updates in the UML metamodel. Also, the multiple usability enhancements were added.

“We are committed to having the best standards compliance tools in the industry. MagicDraw is one of the first tools on the market to implement UML 2.1.2 and we continue to provide our customers the most complete standards compliant solution. This latest release, for example, includes all the latest changes introduced by the Object Management Group (OMG). Strong adherence to open standards makes MagicDraw the tool of choice in the world of Model Driven Architecture (MDA) and in industries where open standards support is critical”, said Gary Duncanson, President of No Magic, Inc. and member of the OMG’s Executive Board of Directors

The multiple usability enhancements to MagicDraw include diagrams viewable in full screen mode, symbol ownership checking in diagrams, and many more helps accelerate the speed of modeling and architecture creation. Also, the new MagicDraw version adds the ability to export diagrams to Tagged Image File Format (TIFF), and choose the desired color space and compression. TIFF files can be edited and resaved without suffering any compression loss. The TIFF format is widely supported by image-manipulation, publishing and many other applications. Additionally, MagicDraw 15.0 users will be able to set image size and DPI of exported diagrams. Higher resolution images can be produced without loosing image quality suitable for publishing.

The SysML Plugin has been updated to reflect changes in the core of MagicDraw and additional changes based on feedback from our users. The SysML plugin is an optional product that plugs into MagicDraw and adds System Engineering diagrams and modeling constructs for use in describing hardware and software, as well as mixed systems. In addition, SysML supports the creation of a rich Requirements modeling notation that is useful for all types user requirement modeling.
