Raleigh-Based Magazine Writer Changes Gears

Raleigh magazine editor Elizabeth Shugg takes on writing and editing for the Internet. Shugg brings 13 years of professional writing and editing experience to the Triangle region.

Feb. 21, 2008 - PRLog -- Wake Living and Fifteen501 magazines’ editor-in-chief, Elizabeth Shugg, left Weiss & Hughes Publishing in November 2007 to pursue writing and editing for the Web. Shugg also plans to seek writing assignments from state and national magazines.

Shugg’s departure was warmly accepted by her previous employers. Her husband, Chris, and children Ben (age 10), Connor (age 9) and Katie (age 6) are very happy to have her home more often.

“The idea of exploring new editorial avenues, meeting new people and setting my own hours is extremely appealing to me,” Shugg said. “Freelance writing and editing offers exciting opportunities, and enables me to spend more time with my family and enjoy life’s beautiful gifts.”
