Feb. 21, 2008 - PRLog -- As you may or may not know, March 1st is St David's Day in Wales and St David is the patron saint of Wales. On Facebook a special page has been created (http://www.facebook.com/pages/St-David/10377427413) which is trying to create enough buzz to try and influence Google to create a special log for St David's Day.

Google creates its special logos for all sorts of events throughout the year. This year we would like Google to commemorate this special day for Welsh people by creating a St David's Google logo.

Help us get the word out:

blog about this page

tell all your friends

create some buzz in magzines, journals and newspapers

tell people you know who work in Google to try and influence them

Here are some facts about St David from wikipedia:

Saint David (c. 500–589) (known in Welsh as Dewi Sant) was a church official, later regarded as a saint and as the patron saint of Wales. David contrasts with the other national patron saints of the British Isles, Saints George, Andrew and Patrick, in that a relatively large amount of information is known about his life. However, his birth date is still controversial, with suggestions ranging from 462 to 512.
