Canadians Seek Better Opportunities Abroad

The Canadian government spends millions of Dollars each year on education and social services, aiming to create a society that is provided for. The fact that many of these citizens developed by the system may leave Canada after graduation poses a massive threat to the growth of Canada, both economically and socially.

However economic opportunities overseas make moving from Canada a lucrative option. Canadian nurses, doctors and engineers are in high demand and can ask for higher salaries in the United States than back home. Taxes are also higher than in the US.

These statistics may initially seem insignificant, however it takes many years for a foreigner to adapt to a new lifestyle, learn languages and get a job according to qualifications even though highly skilled foreigners from places like India and China are highly sought after by Canadian immigration officials.  

Canada is rated highly as one of the best places to live due to the low crime rate, excellent health care and one the best education systems in the world. However there is a constant concern in Canadian circles about the “brain drain” as Canadians leave home at a steady rate.
