National Truth Or Die Campaign Visits San Diego

The Rock Church hosts the Truth or Die Campaign

May 14, 2008 - PRLog -- A host of Cross Movement Record’s artists hit the road last year with a mission to spark a campaign that will serve as a platform to reach, equip, and build with various ministries within many communities. Award nominees FLAME and J.R. along with Philly-based Everyday Process and R-Swift are teaming up again this year to bring the TRUTH OR DIE CAMPAIGN to cities across the U.S. and overseas. The CAMPAIGN will bring its message to San Diego this weekend at one of San Diego’s largest churches, the Rock Church, and Horizon Chapel through a partnership with That Funktion Ministries.

Stemmed from feelings that even after presenting the Gospel in Rap form after traveling extensively on their own, the artists were burdened that there was yet, and still, an audience left in the community where the absolute truth of the Gospel was not presented.

After many discussions, the idea for a one day conference, instead, birthed a two day TRUTH OR DIE CAMPAIGN. “We believe the CAMPAIGN leaves a long lasting impression on those who attend,” states Mac the Doulos (of Everyday Process). “It’s more than music and more than a tour. The very nature of a CAMPAIGN suggests that people get involved and take ownership in helping progress a particular movement and message.”

The TRUTH OR DIE CAMPAIGN was built to partner with local ministries to host Everyday Process, FLAME, J.R., and R-Swift in their area for two days. Consisting of an open forum on one day and a concert the next, the CAMPAIGN exists to expound on the essential biblical truths of the Gospel in Word and the form of music.

“We believe the Lord will use the TRUTH OR DIE CAMPAIGN to create Christ-centered passions and Christ-centered action in various regions,” Mac the Doulos continues.

The TRUTH OR DIE CAMPAIGN San Diego weekend will begin with a concert at 6p on Friday at the Rock Church (2277 Rosecrans Street) and the TRUTH OR DIE CAMPAIGN discussion panel will begin at 7:30p on Saturday at Horizon Park Chapel (590 Fir Street). Both events are FREE. Visit myspace.com/truthordiecampaign for more information about the movement.
