Irish Video Recipe Website Makes Top 3 In European Web2.0 Startup Competition!

Award Winning Irish foodie social networking and video recipe site www.ifoods.tv was named as the 3rd best European Web 2.0 Startup at Startup2.0 in Barcelona on the 21st May 2008.
 
May 22, 2008 - PRLog -- Award Winning  Irish foodie social networking and video recipe site www.ifoods.tv was named as the 3rd best European Web 2.0 Startup at Startup2.0 in Barcelona on the 21st May 2008.  

iFoods’ passage to the finals was secured when it became the most voted for startup in the public voting on the Startup 2.0 website which had over 300 websites from all around Europe (including the UK, Spain, Italy, France and Germany) nominated.

CEO and co-founder of iFoods, Sean Fee, commented “To get to the final 10 of the Startup 2.0 Awards was a massive achievement for us at such an early stage, but to be in the top 3 is better than we could have ever expected. The iFoods management team presented their website to an International jury of European venture capitalists and Internet/Web2.0 experts on the 21st of May 2008 in Barcelona.

Based at The Digital Hub in Dublin, iFoods.tv, which was founded in October 2007, is making waves around the world with recent features in The Los Angeles Times and on ABC news in the USA. iFoods.tv chef Niall Harbison said “It has always been my dream to teach people how to cook and now because of the success of iFoods.tv I am able to do that through the internet to thousands of people every day of the week”

iFoods has over 130 FREE high quality, professional video cooking tutorials presented by iFoods’ chefs Niall Harbison and Pieter Plaetinck and guest butcher Jack O’Shea, as well as a host of social networking functions and the ability for members to upload their own foodie content.
