•    CTL is a proven 80-year old technology that is currently providing over 30% of fuel needs in S. Africa. Officials have said that within the next 15 years CTL facilities will 100% of South Africa’s energy needs.
•   There is a 150 year supply of coal compared to a 40-year supply of oil (www.bp.com)
•   CTL fuel is 2/3rds less expensive and is environmentally friendly, being both biodegradable and burning 80% cleaner than petroleum fuels.
•   CTL uses the same distribution system as gasoline and requires no retrofitting of automobiles. This fact alone saves billions of dollars when compared to other bio-fuels.
•   The United States’ Energy Information Administration Annual Energy Outlook for 2008 confirms the US commitment to CTL stating that ‘coal use for CTL production will be the 2nd largest user of coal by 2030.’(see attached)
•   There are as many as 27 CTL facilities being built around the world in countries including China, India, US, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, S. Africa and many others.
