June 15, 2008 - PRLog -- The new 8GB upgrade option is available on the MOBOTIX M12, D12, M22 and V12 IP cameras.

The MOBOTIX R8 version cameras have eight gigabytes of military-grade solid state storage built inside. This is a world first in security camera technology.

The R8 cameras are ideal for mobile and rapid deployment surveillance units where external storage is not viable, such as temporary surveillance of high crime areas. By recording on predefined event, the camera can internally record snapshots or video for up to days without external hard disks or recording PC's.

Unlike other IP cameras, the MOBOTIX video management system runs inside the camera, allowing users to remotely search and playback the video footage stored in the MOBOTIX camera and simultaneously view live images.

Because its IP65 rated, the MOBOTIX IP camera does not require outdoor enclosures or climate control (heating/cooling) systems. These megapixel security IP cameras can withstand temperatures from -30˚C to 60˚C (-22˚F to 140˚F) and are impervious to dust, rain and salt air.

The MOBOTIX IP cameras come with MxControlCenter, a video management software client developed by MOBOTIX which is license free. MxControlCenter offers recording and management of unlimited numbers of clients, cameras and storage devices. Users can record video continuously, on schedule, on alarm and/or on motion detection. It offers multiple search functions for recorded events. The remote client feature allows any number of users to remotely access live video and recorded footage.
