June 30, 2008 - PRLog -- Son Net celebrates its 10th anniversary. In October 2008 all Guest Rooms and Suites available at 1998 room rates.

Son Net in Mallorca, opened in 1998, is now celebrating its 10th anniversary. To mark this special occasion the property is offering 1998 rates for stays during the month of October 2008, the 10th month of their 10th year. For all 31 days, the hotel can be booked on 1998 rates – including the recently opened new Grand Suite Villas - and guests can expect an array of celebratory amenities and surprises.

Upon opening, Son Net showcased the new breed of character-led, luxury hotels on Mallorca. Between them they redefined the island’s complex identity as an intricate lifestyle haven, opening it to discerning travellers seeking to access a culturally rich Mediterranean destination and rightfully eclipsing its previous incarnation as a cheap holiday locale.

Son Net itself is situated in the Tramuntana mountains a mere 15 minutes from Palma. Housed on a historically relevant finca it developed its diverse and significant origins - dating from the 17th century with former owners notably including a pirate – to pair intelligent and intuitive service with cosseting accommodation, whilst retaining the aura of a private house. Today Son Net plays host to a number of high profile guests.

Those visiting during the month of October will enjoy a complimentary welcome drink – reminiscent of the first drinks served at Son Net, in addition to a special gift to guests of a bottle of Son Net wine – Mallorcan of course.

Oleum restaurant will be featuring selected signature dishes from the hotel’s inaugural menu of classic Mallorcan cuisine with a balance of modern techniques and flavouring, artfully rendered by head chef Christian Rullan Mathy. Dishes will include

- Terrine of home made foie gras served with marc de champagne ice     cream, chestnut shavings and its brioche.

- Sirloin steak of veal served with a red wine and Bourguinon
            style sauce.

Son Net is the property of David Stein, founder of Stein Hotels and Resorts, and was the first hotel to feature in the portfolio.
