By: Karrie A Lyons-Munkittrick Artists exhibited | Kat Harris, Marianne Gamble, Jerry Patterson and Karrie Lyons-Munkittrick Gainesville Art Walk July 25th 2008 from 7pm to 10 pm Kat Harris is an oil painter. She paints in the realistic style and gets great joy from working with detail. Painting water is her specialty and many of her paintings include water. Kat is a wildlife artist and pet portrait artist. Her work is showcased in many homes and businesses. She lives with her family in Hawthorne, Florida. Her studio is located in Gainesville, FL where she creates glass art and teaches classes. Her passion shows in her work that ranges from wildlife, landscape, and abstract glass art with wonderful textures and colors. You can find her work at local art shows, Dew Drop In Micanopy, FL, and Riverhouse Pottery Sanford, FL. After a career in computers at GRU it seemed logical to pursue this craft seriously; since then Jerry has tried to create fine art with the camera. Some may say to Jerry it is good, some don't. Either way, photography is in Jerry Patterson’s blood. Jerry plans to continue his fine art photography until he’s unable to. He would like for you to enjoy what he has humbly put before you. Karrie came up with the style of WeeDot in 1991 while in commercial art school. WeeDot can mean so many things; but to the artist it’s like a life force that drives her to create a work of art out of anything Karrie can get her hands on. She moved to Gainesville in 1998 with my husband and 2 my daughters. Karrie’s family is her biggest inspiration to create colorful unique piece for art for everyone to enjoy.
