Puerto Rico's Top Dressage Rider Moves Training Center to Treasure Coast Farm

Luis Denizard moves to world-class Florida facility; prepares for 2010 WEG and Central American Games

Aug. 13, 2008 - PRLog -- Luis Denizard, who represented Puerto Rico at the 2007 Pan American Games in Brazil, is moving Delante Equestrian Center from North Smithfield, Rhode Island to Palm City, Florida in October 2008 to Tom Mike's Treasure Coast Farm. With his competitive sights set on the 2010 World Equestrian Games and the Central American Games, Denizard looks forward to training out of this world-class facility and being among top dressage riders and trainers year round. This relocation will also put him closer to Puerto Rico, making it easier to mentor and develop talent for the Puerto Rico Equestrian Federation.

Treasure Coast Farm is a new facility that boasts a hurricane-ready barn, two full-sized outdoor dressage arenas, and an insulated indoor arena. The 25-acre farm also has large pastures, a galloping track, and individual run ins for all horses.

Leaving the cold New England winters will not be difficult, but leaving his clients and friends in New England to build a new business in Florida will be hard for him on a personal level. A graduate of University of Massachusetts with a degree in Equine Science, Denizard has trained numerous horses and riders in dressage and eventing, helping many of his clients earn their USDF Bronze and Silver medals. Regardless of a horse's breed, or the rider's chosen discipline, he works hard to help his many students achieve their personal goals.

Denizard started Delante Equestrian Center in 1998, after teaching and training at several facilities, including Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island,  and earlier at Black Forest Hall in Harbor Springs, Michigan, where he was Courtney King Dye's instructor.

King Dye says, ""Lou was my first real trainer, and I am so thankful for that, because he gave me such great training basics. He also exemplified the integrity and ethics that all horse people should have. I have so many memories of these sudden epiphanies in my lessons with him that were really the foundation of training a horse but were completely magical to me in the moment. I feel extremely lucky to have had my start with such a wonderful person and trainer." King-Dye is currently competing for the U.S. Olympic team in Beijing on Harmony's Mythilus.
