Why meditate us, other than for physical and mental balance? We meditate in order to shift our consciousness. Once our consciousness shifts, our character changes, and once that change our character, our destiny changed significantly - in this world and the next. We begin with a method, a certain kind of mental exercise intended to create gaps between our emotions and thoughts interminable. It is something that we could not have made before. Our mind is probably gone non-stop since birth, and this could be a new and interesting experience for us. These gaps are very important, and as we continue to meditate, gaps become longer, wider, and the interval between the thoughts and emotions begin to change our consciousness. When this rotation begins, it raises insights that are unique to our experience. This is the first taste of the immense potential of meditation. If we can get this far, then the practice of meditation is becoming a more valuable experience, and we priserons as we live - and there.
