Childs Wheelbarrow and Leaf Rake – Happy Autumn Gardening

Before leaping enthusiastically into their leaves, children should be encouraged to check that there are no hedgehogs or other creatures hiding in the pile preparing for a winter’s hibernation.

Once the important business of jumping has been completed, enjoy a break by sitting outside with hats, gloves and a delicious mug of hot chocolate (served at a temperature appropriate to the age of the child).  This will restore energy ready to collect the leaves for composting.  Rake the leaves into a large pile and load them into the wheelbarrow to take to the leaf compost bin.
