Sept. 11, 2008 - PRLog -- Point to Communicate system was developed by Arlene Disbrow. Recently her aunt had suffered a stroke and lost her voice like her favorite actors James Garner and Zsa Zsa Gabor. Arlene Disbrow created a system empowering her aunt to make health decisions, communicate her needs, and improve the quality of her life. Her booklet of pictures and words allowed her aunt to regain her integrity by simply pointing to the appropriate picture. She currently offers three distinct booklets. One is for people who are at home, and unable to communicate with their families, friends and health care providers. The other two are for people who are living in nursing homes or who are in the hospital. Each booklet was created to meet the essential needs of the person in a particular environment and create a free flow of information between the medical professionals, caregivers, friends, family and most importantly, for the patient.
