Sept. 19, 2008 - PRLog -- As Daniel Craig prepares himself for the release of Quantum of Solace, the Performing Right Society (PRS) has been on a secret mission of its own to reveal the ten most played Bond songs.

The top ten most played Bond theme songs are:
1.   Die Another Day
2.   Live and Let Die
3.   The World Is Not Enough
4.   Nobody Does It Better (From The Spy Who Loved Me)
5.   A View To a Kill
6.   GoldenEye
7.   Goldfinger
8.   Licence to Kill
9.   For Your Eyes Only
10.   Octopussy

The results are based on data compiled by PRS, in order to pay accurate royalties to its 60,000 composer, songwriter and music publisher members whenever their music is broadcast or publicly performed.

Madonna’s 2002 killer hit, Die Another Day is the most played song out of all the Bond themes representing 41% of all 21 Bond theme performances. However, surprisingly the song only reached number 3 on the UK charts compared to Duran Duran’s ‘A View To a Kill’, which reached number 2 despite being the 5th most played.

Commenting on the results, Ellis Rich, chairman of PRS, said: ‘Bond movies have always meant strong, memorable theme songs, lasting for generations to come.

The iconic nature of the original theme has become part of the fabric of our lives and Quantum of Solace I am sure will produce a theme with a licence to thrill us all.’
