Follow on Google News | Brighton Restaurant Wins Two RosettesBrighton restaurant, The Meadow, has just won two AA rosettes and adds this fantastic achievement to its many accolades.
By: The Meadow Resturant The aptly named Brighton restaurant, which is situated in Hove (actually), serves a variety of British cuisine but with a helping of Italian and French influences. All of the ingredients used to create the dishes are sourced from small farms and the best quality producers in the country – many of whom are local. http://www.themeadowrestaurant.co.uk The two AA Rosettes only support the fact that The Meadow clearly pays very close attention to the quality and selection of the ingredients used. “We have taken great care in choosing our suppliers and have built up a relationship with each of them”, comments Will Murgatroyd, the proprietor and chef of the Brighton restaurant, a point that is only enforced by the mention in each menu of ‘Our Friends’, which explains from whom and where all of the food is sourced. The Brighton restaurant sources its ingredients from all over the country, from Portland in Cornwall to Will’s parent’s garden in Storrington, West Sussex. The Meadow has worked hard to make sure that the standard or food is extremely high and that this is maintained from a Tuesday lunchtime to a bustling Saturday evening. “It took about a year to source of The Meadow suppliers” recalls Will, “it was important to sample everything as well as talk and meet with them, so that we understood their business and they understood ours”. The Brighton restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes and can now officially hold the title of one of the best restaurants in Brighton. http://www.themeadowrestaurant.co.uk End
