National Recording Artist Steven Ybarra Performs for Surfrider’s “Save Trestles” Event

Sept. 21, 2008 - PRLog -- CARLSBAD, CA – The Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to protecting our world’s oceans and beaches, is hosting “Save Trestles,” an all-day event at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.  Recognized singer-songwriter Steven Ybarra will perform and World Champion surfer Shaun Tomson will be the featured guest speaker.  The event is to raise awareness regarding the toll road through San Onofre State Beach, and to ensure the Federal Government upholds the decision made by the California Coastal Commission to not put toll roads through state parks.

When:         Monday September 22, 2008 ~10:30 A.M. - 8:30 P.M.
Where:       O’Brien Hall, Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. Del Mar, CA
Time:         10:30 am to 8:30 pm  

The day will include a public hearing, a rally, entertainment, food, t-shirts, and fun.  You can catch Steven’s performance at around 7:30 p.m.  Stop by and witness the outstanding musicianship and vocal nuancing that make him shine among contemporary artists.  He is a platinum prize-winner at the San Diego Songwriter’s Guild for his cross-genre songs that  span from Christian pop to adult contemporary.
