Acceptx to Host Business Seminar for Orthodontists

Oct. 6, 2008 - PRLog -- Bountiful, UT:  In response to the nation’s financial crisis, Utah based Acceptx Financial Solutions, Inc. announced today it will host four senior banking and financial experts at a business and financial seminar exclusively for orthodontists.   There is no charge for this seminar, but space is limited and registration is required for this ½-day workshop to be held on Friday, October 31, at the Oakridge Country Club in Farmington, UT.  

Acceptx CEO Brett Blake, a Harvard MBA and the author of smartmoneydocs.com will be joined by Thomas Steele, Managing Partner of Steele Larson Anderson of Arizona, Tom Van Overbeke, President and CEO of RepublicBankAz, and Steven Hall, former Senior VP of Mutual of New York and a well-known investor, board member and business man in Utah.

Thomas L. Steele, CPA, CFP® Mr. Steele is the Founder and Managing Senior Partner of Steele Larson Anderson, LLLP®. Mr. Steele is considered one of the top experts in tax and estate planning and has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal® and other publications on financial topics, including: Conflicts of Interests on Wall St; Wealth Warden for the Affluent; Multi-Generational Estate Planning; and Don't Risk It All In One Place-The Advantages of Diversification.

Mr. Steele has authored two books regarding asset protection and wealth building techniques: 'Keep What You Own' and 'Cassidy and the Money Tree-A Financial Metaphor.' As a university instructor, he mentors financial advisors who are seeking the Certified Financial Planning, CFP® designation. Mr. Steele holds dual Bachelor of Science Degrees Accounting & Business Management. After graduation, Mr. Steele obtained a financial planning certificate from Florida State University and passed the rigorous Certified Financial Planning Board Exam. Mr. Steele also passed the Certified Public Accountant Examination and is licensed in the State of Arizona.

Thomas L. Van Overbeke (Tom):   Mr. Van Overbeke is a Director and the President and CEO of RepublicBankAz. Mr. Van Overbeke has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to accepting this opportunity Mr. Van Overbeke has been President and CEO of three successful community banks. The most recent of which was a de Novo banking organization in Las Vegas, Nevada. Under his leadership, each of these organizations increased significantly in total assets, profitability, and asset quality. Tom has served as Director for the Iowa Bankers Association, The Webster City, Iowa, Chamber of Commerce and the Webster City Economic Development Commission. Tom has served as a Trustee for community hospitals in Webster City and Pocahontas, Iowa. He was a member of the UNLV Foundation, as well as many other local charitable organizations. Tom has been an active participant in both industry and community activities. Tom is a graduate of Buena Vista University as well as a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Boulder, Colorado.
Stephen J. Hall, CLU, ChFC:   Mr. Hall is Managing Partner of iTransact Merchant Services, a merchant services company that distributes credit card processing services through strategic alliances with CPA’s, financial professionals and health benefit brokers. Previously, he served as CEO of My ePHIT, LLC, an online wellness company. Mr. Hall was one of the company’s four founding partners and successfully took it from idea stage to profitable acquisition by AXIA Health Management, LLC. He began his career with Mutual of New York as a financial professional and completed a 27-year career with Mutual of New York as Senior Vice President responsible for career distribution. He serves on the Futurity First Financial Corporation board. Mr. Hall holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
Brett A Blake: Mr.  Blake is the President and CEO of Acceptx Financial Solutions, and the past president of Harvest Global Management, LTD an international management consulting firm, and the Managing Partner for Blake Capital, LLC a private investment firm based in Utah.  Mr. Blake has been a senior marketing executive for several companies including Pepsi-Co’s Frito-Lay division where he launched six new products on the $2 billion plus, Lay’s Potato Chips brand and re-launched the Cracker Jacks brand.
