Follow on Google News | Peaceful Demonstrator Assaulted by ScientologistMember of Anti-Scientology Activism Group Anonymous is attacked by a member of the Church During a Protest in Los Angeles
By: Team Anonymous In the past, there have been numerous examples of this kind of assault against critics of the Church, and many are believed to be perpetrated by Scientologists themselves. According to documents penned by the religion's founder and science-fiction writer, L. Ron Hubbard, critics of the religion are to be identified by church members as Suppressive Persons, or "SP's", and are declared to be "Fair Game" by the Church. This declaration implies that anyone declared an SP may be harassed physically, financially, emotionally, and legally in order to deter any anti-Scientology effort. Scientologists claim to have stopped this practice years ago, as the Church began to modernize it's belief system, but this contradicts examples reported by critics of the religion who claim they have been ordered by the Church to appear in court, have been blackmailed, or, as in this most recent case, have been physically assaulted. During a "Raid" on L. Ron Hubbard Way, Los Angeles, California, one member of Anonymous currently identified by his internet persona, AnonOrange, was punched in his face by an aggressive Scientologist. Whether this member of the religion was ordered to do so, or acted of his own will has yet to be reported. The offender was arrested shortly after, as the victim and other members of Anonymous had followed the attacker with cameras and recording devices, a calling card of the protest group's methods of operation. The victim is seeking to press charges. # # # We are Anonymous. A group that exposes the evils of the cult of scientology. We protest around the globe highlighting Scientology's Illegal activities.
