Oct. 22, 2008 - PRLog -- The 11th annual San Angelo Sporting Clay Shoot, benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC), was held at the San Angelo Claybird Association this fall. More than 700 members of the community came together for the event.

In 1998, TSRHC trustees Dan Davidson and Graham Childress and some of their West Texas friends conceived the idea of creating a clay shoot for the benefit of TSRHC. The shoot gives the San Angelo community an opportunity to contribute to the hospital that helps many of its local families.

Guests at the San Angelo Sporting Clay Shoot enjoyed a day of activities that included games by Retriever Sporting Clays, live music by Larry McCaskey, Sr. and Larry McCaskey, Jr. and a live auction featuring items such as an 8-ft. windmill, fully guided quail and whitetail deer hunts and a bloodhound puppy. The clay shoot helps raise awareness about TSRHC and reaches out to families in the San Angelo area who may benefit from treatment at the hospital.
